Pag Island

Pag Island
If there is a perfect place to restore peace and balance, it is the island of Pag.

At first glance, Pag appears rocky and barren, with only white rock amidst the blue of the sea and sky. Its appearance resembles the surface of the moon due to the rocky formations covering 86% of the island. In contrast, the rest of the island is covered with olive groves and green pine forests, with 270 km of pebbled beaches bathed by the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic.

Pag is among the most unique Croatian islands and is one of the sunniest, boasting 2,500 hours of sunshine per year. It is an ideal destination for travellers looking to enjoy its beautiful beaches. When the northeast wind, the bura, blows, it penetrates to the bones, lifting sea mist, salt, and water droplets from the surface of the sea and depositing them on the pastures, meadows, and rocks of the island. Without this, the unique flavours of Pag cheese, lamb and the plants would not exist, as they embody the strength of the bura and the fragrance of sea salt.
